Why MyMemos
Most note apps sit in a separate tab you forget to open. MyMemos is where Chrome already takes you - ready to capture the moment you hit ⌘ T.
Structured notes in your browser-fast, private, and available offline.
Every ⌘T opens your workspace. Capture a thought before it disappears.
Light, Dark, Midnight, Dracula, Solarized, Forest, and Ocean.
Slash commands, headings, lists, and code blocks-keyboard-first.
Jump anywhere with ⌘K. Fuzzy match across titles and body text.
No backend. Your notes never leave your device.

FAQ
Quick answers for anyone comparing local-first New Tab notes apps.

Yes. MyMemos is free and open source (MIT license). There is no subscription, account, or paid tier.
No. MyMemos works entirely offline. Your notes are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. Nothing is sent to a server.
All notes and settings stay on your device. Page content lives in IndexedDB; preferences use chrome.storage.local in the extension (or localStorage in the web demo).
MyMemos lives on your New Tab, not a separate website or app. It is local-first and private by default: no login, no sync servers, and no cloud dependency. Best for quick capture when you hit ⌘T.
Yes. A live browser demo is available here. Same UI as the extension, using localStorage instead of chrome.storage.
